Art With Bart ~ Downtown Lancaster

Marotta/Main Architects

Friday, October 7, 2022 – 5PM-7PM

We are excited to announce that Marotta/Main Architects is hosting local artists in the Lancaster area and our very own Bart Dunlap will be participating in the gallery opening! Visit Bart and other artists during downtown Lancaster’s First Friday. First Friday in downtown Lancaster is always buzzing with activity. Art galleries are open and shops are open extended hours and enjoy the taste of Lancaster at one of the many restaurants while you are downtown.

Come down to support Bart who will be there at the gallery showcasing his beautiful work. Chat with the artist and explore! Marotta/Main Architects is located at 214 N. Duke Street, Lancaster.  Duke Street parking garage is nearby.

Explore Retirement Living

This is your opportunity to explore the 17 participating retirement communities in the area. We can’t wait to greet you and show you what Woodcrest Villa has to offer! Our Planning Ahead Seminar series will be held in Gamber Auditorium located in our VIVA Centre for those who wish to attend.

Caring for Someone with Memory Loss

A speaker from Dementia Friendly Lancaster will provide helpful tips on caring for someone with memory loss.

Monday, October 10, 2022 – 10AM

Make Your Generosity Permanent

A speaker from Everence, a faith-based financial services organization, will share resources and stories about how donors can give smarter and thoughtfully.  Gifts that you can give now, later, and even gifts that can earn income back to you will be discussed.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022 – 6PM

Hospice and Palliative Care

A speaker from Amedisys Hospice will talk about differences between hospice and palliative care, discuss services that can be provided by Hospice, and share information about when to call hospice for a loved one’s care.

Monday, October 17, 2022 – 10AM

Pre-planning for a Funeral

A speaker from Charles Snyder Funeral Home will share information about pre-planning a funeral.

Monday, October 24, 2022 – 10AM

Bob Thee, a WCV resident, will share some tips on how to best pass on your personal possessions.

November 2022 ~

Holiday Craft Show

Woodcrest Villa’s Holiday Craft Show is back and open to the public!

Join us on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 8:30AM-2:00PM in our Gamber Auditorium and get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping. Crafters will showcase their handmade pieces from wood-working, to paintings, knit and crochet pieces, jewelry and so much more. A portion of the proceeds will go to our Benevolent Care Fund. We can’t wait to shop with you!

We will hear from Marian Harnish, an end-of-life Doula. She will describe what a Doula does and how it can be helpful for families.

Join us for a casual morning to learn more about Woodcrest Villa, located in the heart of Lancaster County, and what our Life Plan community has to offer.

The morning begins with a presentation at 10AM, followed by guided tours of our campus amenities. Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, so please, RSVP by November 15th by clicking the image above.
